The IAfP Office and the Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies (ASAFAS) Career Development Support Office invited Mr. Tetsuo Kondo, the Director of the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) Representation Office in Tokyo. He gave a lecture titled “Human Capabilities and People’s Opportunities as Integrated Solutions for SDGs.”Thirty-three graduate students and research fellows from Kyoto University, Nagasaki University, Yamaguchi University and University of Antananarivo (Madagascar)participated in the seminar. He lectured about international development and current activities for SDGs in UNDP through case studies of the promotion of maternal health in Chad and improvements of distribution and employment in Uganda. Many questions were given by African students studying in Japan, and active discussions ensued.
